Sydney Raids Reveal Drugs & Cash

Five Kilo’s of Heroin and approximately $200,000 in cash has been seized after police executed a number of raids across Sydney.

Police executed a raid at Banksmeadow at 12.15pm on Wednesday, allegedly the raid took place whilst a drug transaction was in progress. Seven blocks of heroin were seized, each block weighing approximately 350 grams. Four people, three men and one woman, were arrested during the raid.

After the Banksmeadow raid, Police continued to raid properties in Cabramatta, Chester Hill, Smithfield, Canley Vale, South Granville, Bonnyrigg as well as a liquor store in Guildford.

In these following raids Police seized half-a-kilo of heroin powder, ecstasy, a kilo of methylamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a number of documents and various types of electronic equipment.

A 50-year-old woman was arrested in Cabramatta and a 56-year-old man was arrested in South Granville. All 6 of the accused were refused bail on a range of criminal offences including the supply of a large commercial amount of heroin.

The NSW Crime Commission, the Tactical Operations Unit, State Crime Command Squads, officers in central/south-west metropolitan regions, Public Order & Riot Squads and Special Services Group all assisted officers from the Organised Crime Targeting Squad.
